A GOLDEN YEAR FOR THE PJLFI

Another meaningful year has passed for the PJLFI, which is now turning eight years on December 28, 2008.

A year of firsts

While it has been another year of PJLFI fulfilling its regular projects, it has also been a year of firsts: the first time to conduct Ang Galing Mo, Bata! Medical Missions in Regions 1A, 1B, 2A, and 2B, the recognition of PJLFI’s first Summa Cum Laude graduate, the first undertaking of the AGMB ICT Room in San Manuel High School in Tarlac City, the first San Marino Day Celebration in partnership with the San Marino Consulate Office, of which Mr. Jean-Henri Lhuillier, PJLFI President, is also the Honorary Consul General, the first AGMB-PJLFI Graduate Scholars’ Reunion, and the first Y-JAM Youth Leadership Seminar.

Assistance for the needy

The Foundation, through its Executive Trustee, Atty. Cesar R. Vidal, has enjoined the employees of the P.J. Lhuillier Group of Companies to once again pledge their assistance to co-employees adversely affected by typhoon Cosme and Frank. On the other hand, the proceeds from the Alay sa Bayan National Can Project have been collected, raising a total amount of PhP 377,669.91 for the 30 intended beneficiaries. Some of the beneficiaries already received their shares from the proceeds, given to them by PJLFI president Mr. Jean Henri Lhuillier.
