The P. J. Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (P.J.L.F.I.) held its first ever gathering for its graduate scholars entitled “Ito ang Una” on October 24, 2008. The event was a success with almost 40 percent of the total 158 graduates in attendance in the San Marino Consulate Office for a night of camaraderie and festivity.

 

The company’s top management was present led by the P.J.L.F.I. President, Mr. Jean Henri D. Lhuillier and Executive Secretary and Corporate Secretary, Atty. Cesar R. Vidal. Mr. Lhuillier officially opened the program with a short opening speech wherein he welcomed the guests and expressed his appreciation for the scholars’ excellent use of the opportunities given to them by the Foundation.

 

As part of the program, several graduates who most of whom are currently employed in PJ Group of Companies were chosen to deliver testimonials of their experience as scholars of the Foundation. All of them expressed their gratitude to the generosity of the Lhuillier family and how its assistance has enabled them to achieve their own dreams and improve the lives of their families.

 

In his testimonial, first summa cum laude Mr. Joseph Andrew Dalao, summed up the sentiments of the scholars with his message, “Lhuillier came at the part of my life when I needed them most. I will forever be thankful to P.J.L.F.I. for it was not only me who was able to finish school but with the savings I had from the refunds, I was also able to send my brothers to school.”

 

Mr. Allan August Malig, Networld Info. Sec. And IT Governance division manager, also delivered a testimonial about the efficiency and quality of the scholars as members of his team and employees of the company.

 

Aside from the inspiring messages, two of the Foundation’s former scholars and staff – Mr. Teddy Quizado and Ms. Ma. Wilma Dee-Pardo, were awarded with certificates of appreciation for their services rendered for the Foundation. The event also included giving away exciting prices from Phiten, PLIA, Just Jewels and Le Soleil de Boracay through a raffle drawn by Service Quality Management Dept. Manager Mr. Warren Enteria, Corporate Services Group Head Mr. Miko Jimenez and Mr. Jean Henri Lhuillier.
